This project is an investigation of nested processes in a panelized object. Specifically, this project uses medial surfaces and the instantiation of a powercopy on those surfaces to generate further nested medial surfaces. First, a medial surface was generated using a series of lines and deriving the surfaces between those lines. This results in an panelized, developable form that can be further broken down. Second, we established a powercopy using Digital Project that is then instantiated on each of the panels. The powercopy consisted of individual lines that then form the armature for a second medial surface to generate nested within the initial form. This process adds thickness to the original panelized surface, increasing structural stability and localized transparency while still maintaining the panelized structure of the original surface.
