The project addresses extreme adjacency between two different types of housing situated an urban plan requiring a long building extending into a park. A student dorm occupies one half of the structure while privately run market-rate housing occupies the second half. These two buildings are completely separate from each other on the interior, although their volumes intersect at various points along building to allow visual access to both sides of building. The void between the two halves form a linear courtyard park that is presided over by the cantilevers that reach across the two buildings.
